I just bough a brand new Timney 532CE 2-stage trigger for my factory Remington 700 AAC-SD in 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm having issues. I have not adjusted anything yet.

The issue is the firing pin will not fully drop when the bolt is closed. The plunger on the back of the bolt will move a few thousands forward but will go no further UNTIL I begin to lift the bolt. Slightly picking the bolt up will cause the firing pin to release the rest of the way, obviously not very safe.

Before this I've been using a single stage Triggertech Special and have had zero problems. This is my first 2-stage trigger and not sure what's wrong here.

    Any insight would be appreciated

So I got to playing with it and discovered the problem. The rectangular cut in the back of the action that aligns the hammer to the trigger sear was machined too wide from the factory. The rotating section on the back of the bolt over-rotates causing it to hang up on the edge of the trigger housing. Lifting the bolt slightly re-aligns it to the trigger sear and allows the firing pin to drop. My Triggertech has a wider sear and virtually no gap between the sear and trigger body so I never encountered the problem.
