I am in the middle of installing a Timney trigger on my 700. Of course when I tapped out the pin with the bolt release spring it flew across the room and is yet to be found. Whenever I do find it though, I do not remember how to properly put it back in. I know the loop of the spring needs to be around the peg, but the short end up the spring goes which way? Any help is appreciated.

thanks,

Clayton

Re: Timney Install on 700

Short end goes toward the butt end of the action.

Future tip: Take a few pictures with a digital camera before taking something apart you're not familiar with.

If you haven't gotten it yet, check youtube for video and pics. Explaining how it goes on isnt as good as a picture or video.

Youtube helped me dissasemble my old ass Rusty Ruger MK1
