To skeletonize stock or not

Of the stock options out there, we have some with an aluminum skeleton wrapped with composite, and then we have some that are that are fiberglass or some composite without the skeleton.

For those who choose one over the other, was this a deciding factor, and why?

Title of this post could probably have been better worded. What I was trying to say is that some composite stocks have a full length aluminum backbone to add rigidity, and some do not. Was curious how this feature (or lack thereof) figured into people's thinking. Does it increase rigidity? Does it add weight? Does it have other effects or side effects?

Composite stocks can be effected by heat and solvents. Some use an aluminum insert to stiffen the interface to the receiver and possibly remove the need for bedding.

Full aluminum chassis just cut out the composite and they remove enough material to get close on weight.

It is easier to add things like adjustable combs, folding stocks and rails on an aluminum stock if you have a milling machine.
