I did a post on the Cortina V2 tuner a few days ago. You can find it downrange on the posts This is a follow up that goes beyond tuners.

About an hour ago Erik posted a new video about tuning in general while hosting his mentor - Speedy. They are not finished either, there will a part 2 for this video.

Now, if you are just shooting a 100-200 rounds a year or so on your rifle and don't compete, this is probably not for you. These two guys are at the "tip of the spear", one in F-Class, another in Benchrest competitions. They are shooting A LOT! In competition. When it comes to precision and accuracy. Nothing is left to chance by either one.

There are three critical points made here. 1) Action/Bolt tuning (surprised the hell out of me). And after that part is correct then 2) Powder tuning on the fly (Speedy in Benchrest). 3) Tuning using tuners (Cortina). The tuner part starts at the 38-minute mark.

So, take your pick. That said, If you have never changed powder charges to tune on the fly in the middle of a match, or you have never used a tuner, entertaining and full of information as this video really is, it will still open you eyes to what it really takes to win.

As with many things in life, people tend to believe what they want to be the truth. It doesn't change anything except their own perception of reality.
