The wind is still a little strong for any group shots, so I spent a little time just shooting my Savage MKII FV with the Boyds stock & my TRR. With CCI Mini Mag HP & a 50 yd 0, both rifles took the same come-ups at 100, 150 & 175 yds. These were 4.5 Moa @ 100, 12.5 @ 150 & 15 MOA @ 175 yds.
I have a IDPA size steel target @ 50 yds. with a 2" round flapper in the middle of it. I placed a 4" x 7" steel plate hung from chain @ 100 yds, a 10" x 14" hanging plate at 150 & another IDPA steel target at 175 yds. I also hung a 3" round gong at the 150 yd target spot. I was able to hit the 3" 90% of the time with both rifles.
I was suprised that both the 20" FV & the 24" TR barrels shot with the same come-ups. I was sure that there would at least a few MOA of difference at 150 & beyond.
I will set another plate at 200 yds Sunday morning. I am in the process of clearing some more trees & brush for this range at my little farm.

Re: Todays shooting

The little .22 rimfire cartridge is quite capable of excellent groups on those calm mornings. Try 3x5 steel out to 200 and 6" gongs at 250. You will be amazed at what that little gun can do.

Here is mine with Wolf MT

Yards MOA
25 -.25
50 zero
75 1.75
100 7.50
125 12
150 16.5
175 21
200 25.5
250 34.75

I sure would have thought so as well. Nice thing about it - same dope for both rifles.
