In a lot of cultures, today is the day to get rid of lard and yeast, and in some cases, frivolous ingredients in the kitchen. Around here, it's primarily fastnachts that are the tradition.

I figure that any day is a good day for a donut. What's popular by you?

What I'm getting out of this is that (a), Shankster is actually Bubbles, and (b), he likes to eat glazed rainbow donuts?

That was the humorous part about it.

I knew he would go cry like a pussy to the Mods. He can dish it out then runs to mommy when he gets it back.

I didn't know they made any Pennsylvania Dutch Sikhs. Learn something every day.

Lots of German and Austrian ancestry, but Southern ways so we fried pies. Just not for any special occasions. And before anyone asks, they're not fried moon pies...

One is by choice, the other is by birth. Thankfully, hog maw ain't halal, neither, so nom, nom, nom.
