The Republic we have is inherently weak/hard to keep. It has stood like a flag to the rest of the world for a couple hundred years. I'd be very surprised if it "lasted forever" especially in the face of technology that is leaping forward and things are changing in ways that no one could or can predict.

The US is so divided/fractured now (as is most of the world) that New Norms will not likely bear any resemblance to Old Norms. It's gonna change...it has to change. I predict that the US will evolve/dissolve into at least 2 Nations and probably more than that in the next 100 years. We are already in a Cold Civil War and whether it goes hot is not up to US. Unlike the last civil war there is no Mason-Dixon Line. The Blues and Grays (and Greens and Browns and...) live right next door.

It's like this all over the world. Information travels too fast and the world has become too small for things to get resolved like they did even 20 years ago. It's gonna change. Pretty sure the late 20th and early 21st Centuries will be seen as The Dark Ages 200 years from now.

Perhaps Heinlein's prophetic statements in Starship Troopers indeed are accurate. It may just take a full spiral down into rock bottom before certain elements in the population decide that enough is truly enough, and start whooping ass left and right to restore what rightfully belongs to a world of rational and sane individuals.

1. Never will get a contempt charge. It isn't contempt per Judge Napolitano's discussion this morning. Same old song and dance they did to Kavanaugh. Got them nowhere and will get them nowhere this time as well.
2. Who gives a shit what Cory Booker spouts. He soon will be relegated to the dustbowl. He will say and/or do what he thinks is right. It is all rhetoric.
3. Those types couldn't get laid in a women's prison with a fistful of pardons.

6. Welfare program destroying the country. Welfare needs to be abolished as a perpetual care system. Work or starve...your choice. Job is beneath your dignity...starve. Take a % of the money saved and put it into educating people in a trade.
7. Homeless...too much talk about illegals giving rise to vast homeless populations. I work in LA/SF 10 days a month. Most homeless I see are not illegals...They are lazy ass indigenous people that have lived here forever or mentally handicapped people let loose on the street when the asylums were closed.
