Too much deviation in head space when resizing?

That worked for me too.
I see the truth of it. I went down and pulled the neck ball out of my resizing die. dropped it down so there was just a ity bity tiny bit of cam at the bottom when the std. shell holder hit the bottom of the die.

I then pulled about a dozen cases out of my scrap bag, lubed and resized them all the way down. most of them were exactly 1.6155" with a few that were 1.6150" and a few that were 1.6160". I like it! I did have one with a lot more drag on the way out and it wanted to stay at 1.617" even after a few pulls. I resized it, rammed it all the way, held it there for several seconds and BAM! 1.6155". Possibly was dragging the neck and pulling it up again. *shrug*

Right now I am always shooting for 1.623" so a .008" case holder with a neck bushing die should set me up pretty good for case sizing. What si the difference between my regular die neck sizing and whatever size bushing I would be using? Is it something that MOST people can just live with or is it way too much?

Thanks for the tips guys!
