so I have been moving optics around on my rifles trying different things and I finally decided to put everything back where it belongs and get ready for hunting season.
so I had my bushmaster vmatch 20 inch barrel with a 2 stage match trigger and weaver 3x10 mounted on top and some reloads I had been testing . after confirming zero I moved out to 100 yds and proceeded to shoot 19 rounds down range ( I had a bad primer in on round ) I was firing from a seated position on the ground with my back against the shooting bench . I figured if I cant hit the target from a hunting type position then it really dont matter how well my rifle shoots off bags.
this is my results

yeah I ruined a decent 19 shot group with two flyers but I was shooting from a semi supported position and did not take the time to let the barrel cool that group is from a cold barrel right on through the end of the mag .
now here is what gets my goat . there was a guy setting at the bench a couple of stations down shooting a very nice bolt gun in 204 ruger . the barrel looked as big as a 1.5 inch piece of steel pipe and the scope he had looked like the hubble telescope . all this was tied down in a led sled and he walked over to me after I had retrieved my target and said damn mine will shoot better than that at 200 yds . I wanted to choke him but just said yeah probably so and walked off . you cant fix stupid
