I use a .339 as an intermediate step down so you don't get excessive runout, a .335 for Lapua and a .331 for Hornady and BH/Win. I also have .336, .334, .333, and .330 for others or incase the necks thin. I like .002" neck tension on the .308 from a bolt gun.

I use the .336 titanium bushing on my 308 lapua brass. It's very consistent at .015 at the neck so I don't turn my necks.
I'm looking at .002" neck tension. Just perfect.

Like Rob01 states above, I also use a step down bushing, as my factory chamber blows out my necks to ~.344". Some feel any more than a .005" constriction at a time can effect spring back. Redding mentions .007"-.008" as being the largest step one should go.

I went nuts and got some 308 bushings for a good deal, so I'll usually go .340">.336" or .335" for the brass I'm using. I had some thin Winchester that .332" would barely take care of, so I went .340">.336">.332".

I don't know if I shot those rounds any better, but getting one large one, a .339" or a .340" is probably a good idea, then get them for whatever brass you plan on using.
