So, Murphy came around the other day like the douchecanoe that he is and kicked my butt. I was bench pressing and my pectoral major torn off at the bone. Jolly good time I might say. I'm going in for surgery this week to get it reattached. So my question is, have any of you dealt with this and how long before you could get behind the gun again? I'm due to go out to South Dakota after pheasants and varmints in October and wonder if that is a reality anymore. Any feedback would be much appreciated. On the plus side, I have plenty of time to relaod now.

Having it reattached as soon as possible is key and they a good rehab is paramount. I'd say 10-12 week before you start activly abusing it would be fine , i'd invest in a realy good recoil pad or a recoil buster for the shotgun as recoil may make it hurt , i doubt it'll damage it but it won't be plesant as the area of the reattachment is close to where the butt rest in the shoulder pocket.
