Rail screws came loose from action this morning. Took a few shots to figure out what was happening.

What is the correct torque settings (inch/pounds) on mounting:

rails (bases) to actions?? Do "YOU" use "Lock Tite"

scope rings to scopes??

rings to rails??

barreled action into stocks?

Any other specific torque settings commonly used that I may have left off would also be appreciated.

Need to get this information stored so I can have it with me at all times.

Thanks

Re: Torque on rails and rings???

Scope Base to Action: ~20-25 in-lbs (depending on 6-48 or 8-40 screws, BLUE Loctite)

Action to Stock: 45-65 in-lbs (depends on whether bedded and bottom metal, NO Loctite)

Scope Rings to Base (Crossbolts): 45-65 in-lbs (depends on base/ring material & crossbolt size, NO Loctite)

Scope Ring screws: ~15-20 in-lbs (I don't use Loctite, but some do)
