Tracers

Re: Tracers

You didn't say just what you are looking for, but Wideners has these: UFTM25 30 CAL M25 145GR TRACER $180.00 PER 1200. Only tracers listed thought that I saw. Hope it helps.

Been shooting them for years un-modified in all mine. Never been an issue with "US" issued Red or Orange in my barrels todate. The ones that have a modified, or issued base fuse to light in the barrel, I only shoot in Chrome lined barrels. Late dated Commie block green, same way.

The material that causes the "tracer" to burn and be seen is an abrasive. There is no way I would shoot any at all in a match rifle. Kind of like unintended fire lapping.

Of course what you shoot in your rifle is your business. And if there isn't a law against it where you live, have at it.

Re: Tracers

I have seen restrictions against shooting them at some ranges. They are attributed as a ground fire hazard under dry conditions. I have also seen spectacular sparking against metal gongs from steel/iron cored Combloc ammo.
