Hunting & Fishing Tracked UTV in MT

Hey guys, I've been having a hard time getting a concrete answer about the rules/laws about using a Ranger with tracks on snow-covered trails and roads on National Forest Land in Montana... Like the Helena National Forest around the Little Belts, Castles and Crazies for instance.

If anyone has first-hand knowledge they would like to share I would appreciate it!

I would imagine the same rules that apply to all off-road/UTVs. The only difference is winter trail closures. Look to some snowmobile forums.

Wyoming has "wheeled" vehicle signs. Put tracks on a 4 wheeler and the snow machine rule applies.
You can do what ever the "tracked" machines can do. Nat'l Forest.

You might check here in Colorado you have to pay registration on the atv and as a snomobile to go off trail.
