Transfer a gun into an LLC

Hoping someone can help on this one. I am going to "pick up" my bolt action, and want to purchase it as an asset of an LLC. When I go to fill out the form for the background check, is that run against the LLC, or against me as an individual - even though the LLC is purchasing?

so, background check is against me, but ownership is still in the LLC / trust etc?

if anyone doesn't know - background checks are now running 18 days out -- going to make shopping at the Tanner show this weekend interesting for a bunch of folks...

yes, even w/ an NFA item done in a trust, the 4473 is filled out to a person, who represents the trust, then the item is added to the trust's schedule A...

w/ a regular bolt rifle, in most states, there is no requirement to "register"... therefor, much like say a television, it will need to be bought, then added to the LLC or trust's holdings, as I understand it (maybe some attorneys can elaborate) proof of purchase by the LLC/Trust (cancelled check, etc) is often enough
