Well... The wife and I decided to see the midnight premiere of TRANSFORMERS - Dark Side of the Moon.

All I can say is if you like the action of the first 2.... You will NOT be dissapointed by this one.

It is NON STOP and in my opinion is a VERY good watch.

Movie is about 2 hours and 40 minutes and has some VERY funny parts as well.

Just my .02 worth.

Long - yes. Good watch - so so. Ditzy blonde - yes. Decent story line but the movies seemed like more of the same. This would have made a good 2 hour movie.

How was the 3D? I figured Michael Bay would figure out some way to make an explosion inside of an explosion surround by a large explosion.

They actually handled the 3D much better than I expected. Several shots get this kind of slow down effect where you get heavy 3D integration/parallax and can see the level of detail in the shot. Personally, I was overwhelmed by everything. My eyes felt like I'd been coding all day and running simulations. There's plenty of eye candy in the film but the visual effects are just off the charts in volume & complexity.

Went and saw it. The 3D was pretty good. I liked how it seemed more morbid than the first two. Great visual effects and the new blond is smokin....dare I say better than Megan Fox?

I can't get over the fact they replaced megan fox with a f'in blond. Megan looks her best in the transformers series, and i don't care if they drop her, but to replace her with a blond with what looks to be huge unnatural botox injected lips just irritates the hell out of me. I mean at least get a girl who look similar, i.e. batman begins (katie holmes) the dark knight (some girl that looks similar) Also Michal Bay stated way back after Transformers 2 he was going to focus more on story rather than special effects, i think he went the opposite way on that one.

Saw it in 3D Imax. I though it was pretty good, entertaining. The visual and 3D effects were TOP NOTCH. Really, slow mo 3D action was great.
The story was between fair to good. Better than 2, but not as tidy as the first. In the first movie, they did a very good job of keeping multiple action series going at the same time. On this movie, they focused on each bit and jumped around.
The opening scene of the blonde girl is "breathtaking".

I rate it an A-, mostly due to the visual 3D effects. If I saw it in a regular theater, it would be a B- for me.

Very tasteful way of brining all of the characters back without the same old rehash.

FWIW, apparently Steven Spielberg had Megan Fox fired because she made a comment about working for Michael Bay is like "working for Hitler".

PS. you guys have no idea just how insane those VFX were. Not just the sheer volume and level of detail, but that they were able to get it done at that level in such a short period of time. It's called "7 day weeks of 14 hour days."

I re-use sounds all the time. Shit, sound people are way worse about this than vfx. Some sounds are total SLUTS. ;-)

I hear the same shitty fake sounding girl scream in every show/movie that calls for a scream. I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about 'cus it must be an industry inside joke or something.

Seen it twice already... Good movie and a must see if you've seen the first two. The cars are sexy and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is smokin hot!

As I am a cheap bastard, this was my first real 3-D movie I have ever seen (My wife insisted I cough up the $32.00 in tickets, and $19.50 for popcorn and pop...so the "kids" could see the movie and “NOT wait 'til it came out on DVD" [yep, not even Blue-Ray]).

I was in awe. The glasses were not the old red/blue things that we looked through as kids, but looked like the old Army BC glasses with clearish lenses.

I giggled like a school girl, and loved the movie (but can wait until it comes out on DVD before I see it again). It was amazing to see the actors in dimensional space. I think the Porn Industry needs to get on board with this whole 3D thing...

This was the best Transformer movie yet!!!!

The movie moves quite well. The computer generated effects are quite amazing. The story line was a bore and the characters are starting to become caricatures. The girl was out of place. She is visually stunning but too far out of the league of a Shia Labeouf. Megan Fox was way out of his league, too, but they worked it in since her dad was a con and she could work on cars. Gave her some Lara Croft kick ass that made sense for her character. There's none for this new girl, too tall, too hot, too girly. Her mindfuck of Megatron was a waste of footage.

Not a fan, the kids made me go. They liked it. Me, I made it through but not a great movie.

I saw it with the wife last night, and had to say it was decent. I liked the first, and really liked the second, but this one was "okay". Action scenes were worth it, but overall i give it a C+.

Just back from the flick. I dug it but the plot was a lot like Harry Potter movie where there are a billion plot holes and it felt rushed. I opted for the 3D and luckily it was bright unlike most of these fucking movies lately where the lights on the floor are brighter than the screen.

Anyway, I liked it, it was pretty weak but the action was fun. Spock was cool too!

I opted for the 3D because BAy was talking up how much it had and I felt as though there wasn't enough to warrant the extra price. I would have rather have seen it in 2D.

Did any of you catch the "foreshadowing" of Sentinel Prime? That's a tough one to catch but pretty funny. I'll give you a hint. Wheelie and Brains are part of it.

She's not ugly but she's by no means Megan in her transformers getup. Megan off screen doesn't look that good all the time but that first scene in transformers 1 when she popped the hood on that camaro HOLY SHIT. Absolutely no contest. If she looked like she did in transformers all the time i would take her over 90% of hot girls in the world today other than Irinia Shayk.

Great action flick. Rosie looks ohhh so hot in that AMG. I find the 3D annoying, excluding the $3 upcharge to view it. As a side note, I got into a "discussion" w/ the wife on whether not her lips were real or enhanced....
