On Horus' TReMoR2 reticle diagram, it shows a dot pattern illumination. I have no experience with dot illumination. From prior research, I recall that the illuminated SWFA HD 5-20x50 has a small central dot illumination that several users have commented "bleeds" light to the remainder of the reticle, making the reticle (other than just the dot) visible in dark conditions.

My question for those of you that have used the TReMoR2: can you identify any such illumination "bleed" from the dots out to the rest of the reticle?

In searching, I found an old thread here by WirgmanUSMC where an illumination pic does seem to show some, but I can't tell for sure.

We had a moderately long discussion here a few weeks ago on this phenomena for the T3. Both the L&S and NF implementations were shown in pics to have this "bleed" syndrome at high power illumination. Some actually considered it a plus.
On the NF, which has both green and red illumination, running the illumination on green with minimum power on the illumination the illum is barely visible and does not bleed - unless viewing thru PVS-14.

The reason people thought it not a problem, was because it lights up the whole tree ... and thus helps see the whole tree when using the illum.

I have both NF and L&S T3s and I do use the illumination when re-zeroing laser range finders on the rifle, but have not used for actual hunting/critter control yet. I shoot mostly at night, since I work in the day.

I can't remember what thread this discussion was in.
