My Trg came with a small bag containing sling swivels ,bolt tool and a sling stud along with other attachments.I need to know where the heck do I screw the sling stud to attach a Harris bipod?
I took out some screws off the bottom of the stock but none match threads.looked at manual and couldnt find much either.help fellow out ,thanks

    Re: Trg and sling stud?

The TRG's I have had the larger style eye for slings with clips on them. The part looks the same as JK posted, but the eye is much larger. If one didn't come in the bag, and you're in a bind, you can take the one off the sling attachment. The harris works just fine with the larger eyes.

Jason, the midway link pic instead the same as what I got, just the stud is what I have..maybe ill try to remove the big eyelid from the braket and put stud in place. I'm need the stud for Harris bipod to attach.

The TRG doesn't come with an adapter for the bipod stud on the forearm rail. You need to purchase the Harris #6 adapter as you have found above.

    Thanks Josh, will do.
I wonder why Sako includes the stud in the bag though?

You can get a 1/4" x 1/4" aluminum spacer from the hardware store that will fit into the eye. I used this for attaching a Harris bipod at the sling attachment before switching to Sako factory bipod. Works really good and only cost .50 cents. The only downside is it fits loose and its another piece to keep track of when you take the Harris off.

As mentioned, the Harris # 6 adapter just slides on the rail. I used the Harris till I got the Sako bipod and I find it works much better for me anyway. Plus it attaches and comes off in so much easier.

I also have the Sako bipod but want to have the stud option for Harris aswell.
