I am sure this has been discussed at nauseum already, but a quick search (without much effort on my part) did not result in much. So what is the general consensus.
I had a TRG22 years ago and loved it chambered in 308 and then 260, no problems at all. As of the last several years I have been shooting AI's (2 AW's and now an AT), but feel like getting back into a TRG mainly to cut several pounds out of my system. If I do go back with a TRG I want to chamber it for 6.5X47 Lapua. I am looking for any REAL WORLD FIRST HAND experience with this set up (I don't need any opinions, as I can for my own). If you have chambered your TRG for the X47 how did it cycle? Was the ejection ok? I know the ejectors on the TRG is not the strongest out there but I kinda like how it just spits the brass close by. I do remember discussion years ago about the TRG and short cases not playing well together.
I would also appreciate any feedback on any chambering with the small rifle primers in the TRG being ran up close to max pressure. Any pierced primers concerns like on the large pin AI's?
Thanks in advance
