Been looking to get a TRG22 in 308 and was wondering what is the difference between the models that Euro optics has. I get the difference between the folder and standard stock but what makes the $400 difference on the regular models?

Re: TRG22 question

I can try to help, but someone may know more. The green phosphate model, has all eye sling attachments, a milled slot on barrel for front sight, and the stock material may be different than the blued model.

The stock subject is in debate. A search on the subject may be needed to draw you own conclusions.

Blued model, no eye sling attachments, barrel is blued with no mill slot for front sight.

Other than that, I dont know of anything else. I have the two models, blued and phosphate, and that was the difference I had with them.

I have not followed the prices lately with the models, and with new colors and camo on stocks, this may have a price difference also.

Re: TRG22 question

From what I can see, on the shorter barrel models, they come from the factory with a picatinny rail, which ups the price. I've heard that is an expensive option on the TRG from the factory. Also, it seems that the desert tan models are a bit more expensive than the green or black models.

The price difference is, for the most part in the rail included with the particular rifle. Alex and the guys at EuroOptics are great, give them a call.

Re: TRG22 question

3per, that is what I meant. I just only saw the picatinny rail on the shorter barrel variant, but I didn't articulate that clearly. Thanks for clearing that up.

Re: TRG22 question

Why ever buy a TRG with a picatinny rail and pay extra for it, when there is a so much better steel rail underneat........

When buying a Surgeon you pay extra for getting an integral rail, when you buy a TRG you don't care to use the integral rail......
