Trigger for a r700.

I got the hunter elite. It installed in 5 minutes. After dry firing 10 times I used my gauge to test pull, 3.5lbs. I set it down to 2.5lbs and dry fired 10 more times. Then I dry fired 10 more times with my gauge. It is pretty consistent at 2.5lbs. Gonna try it out Thursday and report back.

I had the elite, came with my Seekins. It bit the dust after 30 rounds. Shipped it back and got a brand new one from Seekins but I’m not sure if I trust it now. Was set at 2.5lbs. While at the range trigger just felt heavier towards the end. Then “click” no shot, thought maybe a light primer strike or bad primer, not the slightest mark on the primer. This was with Berger ammo. Then after extracting round he bolt would not close. I could only get the bolt closed if I held down the trigger (no round in of course). When I got home I found I could get it to cock if I pulled the bolt back about an inch then closed it, but the trigger pull weight was 7lbs upon dry firing.

Needless to say I ordered a trigger tech that night
