New to PRS and am building a new gun for myself, have a Manners PRS1 Stock , it’s SA Rem 700 and was wondering what Remington 700 Trigger would you recommend?

Thanks Jimmy

BnA Tacsport 2 stage trigger. I feel a 2 stage trigger provides much more control and "feel" over a single stage trigger. I didn't believe it until I was finally convinced to swap over.

The single best gear decision I've made in this sport, is swapping from a single stage TT to a 2 stage BnA.

Bonus is the BnA is really adjustable - 1st and 2nd stage travel and weight adjustments, as well as sear engagements and replaceable/different sear heights. This allows you to tune the trigger exactly to you, and the sear engagement allows you to tune the trigger to the action.

A properly mated trigger to an action can make a huge difference in how well the action "feels", and I don't think I need to emphasize how a trigger mated to you, the shooter, is important. The trigger is the single most important interface between you and the rifle.

Have a 510 on my 223 trainer that's as nice as the Special on my stay in the safe until the wind goes stupid 6 Creedmoor. But I'd probably go with the special just in case.

For two stage 700 triggers, my favorites are the Tubb T7T and Geissele.

While the Tubb may be a good trigger - a few I know swear by them, they can be a real bitch to get to work in some actions. A bought a T7T based on recommendations of people I know, and neither myself or my gunsmith could get it to work properly in my action. Even with a trip to Tubb, it couldn't be figured out.

I’ve got a BNA and a Geissele Super 700. Have had mostly factory triggers that were tuned in the past.

The Geissele is great. The BNA is better.

Everyone who has touched the BNA has a look of disbelief and tried it a few more times, looking like they were getting away with something really illegal.

The Bix’N Andy triggers are just on a different level. The Geissele is excellent and is not going anywhere, but it’s not the same. It’s hard to explain.

I have a full tilt benchrest BNA trigger, not the TacSport, and it’s set light. I go dry fire it when I need a reminder of how good something can be.

I’d love to try a 2 stage BNA, but I chose the Geissele because it’s got a serious drop rating and where I live, nasty falls down steep grades are a part of life.

Till triggertech releases their two stage and I get to play with it, I'd have to recommend the Huber two stage with the flat shoe.

Adjustability isn't always a good thing, makes for unsafe rifles when people start dicking with settings they don't understand.

The TT special is a fine trigger if you have no use to go below 1# on the pull weight.
I prefer to have my triggers set around 1.5lbs so it's perfect.
I have one Atlas action set up with a TT Special flat trigger shoe and another Atlas waiting to be tested with a TUBB T7T and a second TT Special on the way if I don't take to the two stage TUBB trigger.
@kthomas would you mind sharing what action the T7T gave you problems with, pm if you want.

Triggertech Special or Diamond.
Only difference is adjustable pull weight range.
Currently a 20% off sale with code triggeregg.
I second this. You will not be disappointed with the TT. Love the easy adjustment and fully contained unit, which in my experience has been resistant to dirt and grime on several hunts and range sessions.

It was a GAP Crusader/Defiance Rebel action.
