Gunsmithing TRIGGER RECOMMENDATION

Re: TRIGGER RECOMMENDATION

My brother likes the Rifle Basix, I like the Shilen Competition model, but I have several Timneys that I am not going to replace. A lot of it will come down to whether you like a wide trigger shoe or a narrow one.

If you have the "old style" factory Remington trigger, you or a 'smith can take it down to about 3#'s. I just adjusted one yesterday on a beater .243 and it has no creep and breaks cleanly.

Re: TRIGGER RECOMMENDATION

After years of using the Rifle Basix, I have made the switch to Timeny. I love Timeny triggers (although I could do without the prayers they send in the packaging).

I recommend the Timeny.

Rifle Basix is still a very good option though.

How come your changing? Is it trigger size (wide / thin) or unreliable?
