So I thought it would be fun to build an AR in the 224 Valkyrie caliber as a winter project. I assembled a nice variety of parts, buying from the PX on the site and stuff I had laying around from previous builds. The one thing I haven’t decided on is a trigger group. I’ve shot several AR triggers on the market, CMC, Geissele single stage, Elftmann and way back in the day my NRA high power AR had a Compass Lakes Eng. 2 stage. I was looking at the LaRue MBT and was amazed at the price. My question is how this trigger compares to some of the ones I have shot. If anyone has had experience with the LaRue and any of the others I listed, I would appreciate some insight.
The main use for the rifle will be shooting steel in the 300 to 800 yd range and maybe see if I can stretch it to 1000. Don’t plan on using it in precision rifle competition but might try it once just for kicks.
