On my origin and diamond I took it all the way down until the clicks stopped. There are 3 clicks that you can feel at the end but not hear and the instructions say to leave it engaged that much so that’s where I put it and tested it, slamming the butt down from bar height didn’t let it trip, nothing I could do did.
Set it as low as you prefer and test it to find out on your set up. Even with it a little heavier it’s still a nice feeling trigger.

Yeah they should be safe anywhere within the range. I thing the diamond goes down to like 4 ounces. I wouldn't want to shoot that. Im at like 1lb 15 oz on mine which is at the upper end.
