I found a good load that works in 2 different .270's....a Ruger #1 and savage axis.

I have 2 different batches of .270 brass, the only difference between them being trim length. Same head stamp, number of firings, etc.

If I load the same base-to-ogive length, how big of a difference on paper/game should I expect to see?

Yes, I'll shoot to confirm, but I'm interested in what those more experienced than me think.

Have you kept the brass separate for each gun?

Are the first fired shoulders the same? Can you use the same bump?

I use book trim lenght on everything, some people like to customize that.

If you develop to a longish jump,
Maybe.

Each barrel is different in what it likes.

Shoulders are the same. The only difference is trim length. So, bullet will not sit as deep in the shorter trimmed brass. Base to give length stays the same, so jump will be the same.

How big of a difference do you think I'll see?

Very little especially if you use a mandrell to set neck tension.

I trim every piece that is over book and the short stuff will eventually get there.

How much difference do you have?

At 0.005 I doubt even the chrono will see it.
