So I've found the vortex/manfrotto rc2 to picattiny adapter, but not much else. Does anyone else already make this piece?

I like the idea of something very quick, lightweight, and less bulky.

I just whipped this guy up real quick today that uses the same ADM lever mount as an atlas. I haven't installed a picattiny in the middle of the stock where it would be more ideal yet as I'm not sure this is the route I want to go yet. The fact that it holds that rifle (24" heavy varmint) by the bipod rail though shows it would hold up pretty well. The tripod is a vortex it appears they don't sell anymore with the manfrotto joystick ball head.

Basically it's just a qd lever picattiny to 1/4-20 adapter and could be used on any tripod.

What do you think? Or is this already out there and my Google fu just is not great?

I did see that Larue mount, and thats what inspired me for the most part. The only issue with that mount is you are relegated to a tripod head that accepts RC2 plates like that.

With a simple 1/4-20 adapter like this, you could use it on the PRS or whatever tripod you want.

And yes, it definitely requires an additional rail installed right in front of the bottom metal, which is the downfall to this setup. Thats why Im trying to think of something more flush so its not in the way when you dont need a tripod (98% of the time).
