Tripod shooting.

Earlier this week I asked for advice on a good enough arca ball head for my first tripod and as always everyone came thru with great advice. Ball head is here and tripod is expected later this week and once again am asking for advice or opinions, anything helps.

I seen plenty of videos on YouTube but I was wondering if you guys had any personal input on shooting off a tripod. Any techniques that work best for what you do? Any advice on what or what not to do? Am shooting 6.5 CM, 6.5 grendel and 5.56.

I would highly recommend getting the online training access. There is some good info on there and a specific lesson or two just on tripod shooting. Each training video has discussions under it, and goes into depth with exactly what you're asking.

I was only planning on keeping it for a month, watch some videos then cancel... That was almost a year ago, definitely worth keeping it.

I know you said there's plenty of videos on YouTube and asked for tips, but basically I'd be butchering what Frank says in this video if I tried to give any advice. Better straight from the source.
