Trouble posting certain images

I can post regular static image files from my site just fine, like this:

But I can't post dynamically-sourced image files from a PHP script. They end up looking like this:

What gives?

It's not just you. I found this helpful:

"The default behavior of ubbthreads is to disallow images without an image extension."

Okay, so I can get the image to display by appending "&dummy=.jpg" to the URL, since my script will simply ignore the 'dummy' argument.
