trouble with AR-15 firing pin retaining cotter pin

anyone have a resource for these cotter pins... they seem very specialized....

A gun store in your area should have them. If not you can find them online. The one I got with my Aero Precision BCG was out of spec. A friend of mine suggested the KNS Solid Solid Retaining Pin so I'm trying that. But it costs $8.00.

Lots of the online stores have them, and I tend to add small parts like this when making bigger orders.

I have used the KNS pin and really like it, especially when breaking down the bolt carrier for cleaning. So much easier. Probably 2k suppresses rounds and no issues.

I've heard of people finding these in hardware stores but there's a million places online you could get them from obviously.

Try looking into the back of the BCG when trying to align the cotter pin.

get an ar-15 spare parts kit or two from brownells or midway. should also be at your local gun show and local dealers.
