Troy Defense .308 Experiences?

Anyone have experience with the Troy Defense .308? Accuracy? Reliability?

Someone has one for sale locally for $1000 and am wondering if it is worth putting time into. Not sure if I would want to turn it into a shorty precision .308 or keep it as a battle rifle with an ACOG.

I'd get an Armalite.
I don't like Troy for a variety of reasons, not least of which is their propensity to hire anti-2A types.

I have one as I got a great deal through work (LEO). Accuracy is 1-3/4moa with 168gr. AMAX. Reliability has been 100%. I put a Larue trigger in it which helped quite a bit. That said, I'll rebarrel her soon. The Troy bbl has a weird thread pitch and I had to hunt to find a comp that would work...didn't like the medieval brake.
