I'm looking at the Millett TRS-1 and had a question about the reticle. The website shows as the line to line being 1 mil but the manual shows it as being 2 mil line to line. Can anyone verify which is correct?
Mine, BK81001, is also line/dot/line/dot with 1 mil spacing. Line to line would be 2 mils. The website probably meant mark to mark and didn't realize it was a line/dot combo.
dot to dot is a mil. dash to dash is a mil. dot to dash is a half mil. i wish i could get some better thru the scope pictures and show the 16x vs the 4x settings but the camera isnt showing what i see
ill have to check this out as i dont want to give the wrong info. i was looking at a different reticle somehow
the manual even tells the dash and dot values. it says the dot is 0.72 inches wide at 100y making it 3.6 at 500y so i guess from that you could figure the mil value at 0.2 mils and the line is the same as far as i can tell. i cant find my instructions to see if they are more detailed than that.
dot to bar show 1 mil on that chart. best way to find out is get a yardstick and set it at 100y. a mil is 3.6 at 100 so that yard stick should be 10 mils. some guys mark every 3.6" and chck the marks that way
