Trudeau just banned 1500 guns completely circumventing any democratic process.

They didn't ban all the AX, just the 50 BMG version (or any version over 10,000 joules)
I wish they would know what they were banning then so idiots like me would know what's banned and what isn't

Well the RCMP just put on their page that the Shotguns ARE NOT banned like everyone was claiming with the 20mm bore rule.

The RCMP does not make the law and cannot edit it. The wording in the OIC only states 20mm bores are prohibited. It doesn’t prescribe any method to measure the bore, or even the legal definition of the bore, because it’s so poorly written.
What the RCMP released is meetly in interpretation of the law.

Yes it is, the last time they "interpreted the law" 10/22 magazines were banned. That being said, what it does show is that the CFP and the RCMP both measure shotgun barrels CORRECTLY and not at the muzzle (with a choke removed) like all the idiots were saying they are....

The OIC still leaves too much ambiguity on the matter. It means you’re one overzealous cop away from going bankrupt in court for taking your turkey gun out in the field.

the CFP states they use industry standards. Meaning every 12 gauge will be the same 18.5mm bore size no matter where it is measured in the barrel

So, what you’re saying is, that Iver is now coming back OFF the prohib list? Not bloody likely. That would imply they made a mistake, but they won’t ever admit that.

The Iver was never ON the prohibited list.

A store called Ellwood Epps did the measurements themselves and then phoned a Supervisor at the RCMP and asked if if the shotgun would be classified as prohibited. The RCMP Supervisor said that in his opinion that it would be prohibited according to the OIC. But it was never officially made prohibited... that article was click bait.
