Ok, I am wondering if I do a trust on my suppressors [current individual] and use my relatives who live in CA. will that cause problems down the road? If anything happens to me they can take possession of them just not in that state or will the fed deny them because they live in that state?

Ya need a law talker, but my understanding is that it is not you or your relatives who are in possession but the trust, so long as the trust keeps them in an area where they are not prohibited there should be no problem.

The last time that I read the CA penal code section that defined an “assault rifle” it was a felony for a CA resident to own a prohibited item, the law said nothing about possessing prohibited items in state or out of state, the mere act of meeting the definition of owner met their felony definition regardless of whether or not the prohibited items ever entered the state. Make sure the trust does not define them as owners in any way.

yes I will seek out a lawyer before this goes to writing of the trust. but what I meant was IF i die become incapacitated. I will be in possession of said items but havve my relatives named in it so they can hopefully avoid ATF problems in the selling of them.
