I found some night vision binos that my dad had received as a gift a long while back and I cant seem to find anything on them...

this is all that I can guess about them based on some of the wording on the binos them self seeing as the manual is all in Russian:

the brand is kronos
and right after kronos it has a -B
and then there is what appears to be a serialized number on the hing in the middle

I am not even sure how old they are as they don't have any leds to light anything up and as you can not see in a completely darkened environment, it seems to only amplify any existing light that there is IE the stars and the moon

has anyone ever seen these before or heard of them and if it is possible to find parts

Re: trying to find some info on some NV binos

Most Russian stuff is 'first-generation' , in reference to the light-amplification tube -- not a top performer by today's standards . Most tubes in Russian stuff are not shielded , meaning your eyes get bombarded by cathode-rays when you look through them -- not good ... You can buy an infrared-illuminator and boost the performance ...

oh ok thanks for the info, I kinda figured they were first gen since I cant seem to get them focused to well, but they are fun to mess around with, but I guess the next thing is to get with the times and buy something nice for him
