I own three TTs. Two are Gen 2 Xr and 1 is Gen 3xr. I don't know exactly what year either was made.

Is it possible to "soften" the detent feel of the TT?

What I loved about my Gen 3, and what motivated me to buy two more, was that (atleast on this scope) no matter how much effort I placed into turning the elevation turret...it always seemed to click a consistent, predictable, steady 0.1 mil at a time. This enabled me to count my clicks while dialing knowing that it would go "click....click....click...". The amount of effort required to turn JUST one click always felt the same.

However, with both my Gen 2s, I find that unless I am conscious of how much force I am applying...there is the potential for me to inadvertently turn multiple clicks at a time because the force required to turn JUST one click is not predictable and not consistent.

So...dialing sounds more like "click...click click....click....click click click...". Not always...but it does happen, which impacts my ability to reliably count the clicks.

(See pic below) I'm wondering if it is possible to adjust how much that rectangular piece pushes up against each detent or if these two metal pieces wear down over time and the clicks will become softer.
