Recently, George Gardner (GAP) mentioned on another topic that he shot a rifle with a Tubb barrel contour on Sniper Bash 2010.

Can anyone provide the specifications of the Tubb contour? I could not find it on barrel makers website.

Thanks!

call gary schnieder (928)474-2852 he will be able to answer your question. i believe it is close to a sr-60 contour or just a little heavier than a remington varmint but i cant remember the exact specs

Thank you for the answers, but I dont live in US, so make an international phone call in english (not my language) with lots of numbers and specifications may not be a way to go.

I was hoping to get a table of specifications like the major barrel makers has. Schneider web site is still not working, so no contour specs.

Thank you very much George!

So, it is thinner and lighter than I tought... I am looking for a lighter alternative for my MTU barrel and thought about a Medium Palma cut to 24 inches long.

Shooting a heavy barrel is nice on the range, but walking around with one is not so nice. At the same time I do not want to trade (a large amount)of the accuracy I have on my MTU.

Thanks for the offer to help. Nothing you can do unless you have the magical scissors that cut the red tape that our government has somehow put on nearly every part our our military's health care. It is SOOO painful to get anything done.

A quick story for you. Yesterday, we are in the Neurologists office and they never received a copy of the insurance authorization for us to make the appointment. So I call our insurance provider (Tricare) and they tell me that they have a different fax number on file for the Neurologist. So I give them the correct one. But that isn't good enough. Tricare policy makes it so that a fax number has to be confirmed with the actual office. A reasonable policy to ensure that authorizations go to the right places. So I give the guy the actual phone number to the office so that he can call and verify the fax number. Well, its a long distance call so he has to get approval to make a long distance call from his third line supervisor to make it. That process takes THREE days. Yes. THREE DAYS to place a long distance call.

I said "I'm on my cell phone with you. Can I hand the phone to the receptionist and she clear it?" His repsonse:
"I suppose, but that is not the way this is supposed to work."

Can you believe it? That is the crap I deal with every time I have to take her to a specialist.

Anyways, I'm going to list the skins then. I don't really want to haul them back to CA.
