Greetings Gents,

Does anyone use turret labels? Do you make your own or whats the source? If I know Im only using one load in that rifle is it even worth using? Majority of my scopes are Bushnell, does scope manufacturer make a difference?

Any comments welcomed.

I've seen some shooter's online using turret labels but I don't think it's as common as it used to be. Custom Turret Systems has a label builder feature that allows you to get a turret label specific to your optic and load. To me though, if I still have to provide them all the same information I would need to input into a ballistics program I'd just do that and either tape something to the stock or make a temp label from masking tape and a Sharpie.

Aside from having a ballistic calculator....and in particular for deer hunting where I'm not playing with a phone, etc..... I just made up bit of a table in excel that fit inside my scope's ocular lens cap. Looks like this but you can lay it out any way you want and include diff ranges, etc.

And of course, just taping a 3 x 5 card with your dope on your stock also works.

There are companies that sell the ocular cap labels, there are companies that sell tape labels that you put on the stock; all these do basically the same thing without the need to align it perfectly on your turret. Kenton is a company that will custom print labels for you, assuming they support your specific scope.
All that said, I've used a sharpy and a piece of masking tape more times than I can remember, this is not a problem that requires technology or innovation to address, but you are welcome to use both to find a more expensive way to do it...

I use Custom Turret Systems on all of my prairie dog and varmint guns. Great product and even better customer service. I pick the colors that my old eyes can easily see, along with the size of the font. Started out with Kenton knobs( good product ), but CTS allows me to change labels easier when I change my load. Kenton used to be laser etched turrets only, but now they also do labels. I think you'll like the ease of the product.

BTW, I started out with the 3 X 5 cards taped to the buttstock. ;) As Baron23 said, it works.

I LOVE Custom Turret Systems Labels!! I make mine for my hunting rifle white, with larger black numbers. SOOOO much easier to see. I also put a smaller * to indicate a cold weather delta.

They give you extras and they hold up outstandingly well. If something changes, order another label for the fraction of the cost of a custom turret.

I tried Custom Turret Systems to convert my old MOA turret/Mil reticle scopes to MIL turret/Mil reticle scope configuration. Works perfectly and there is a host of different options available. A breath of fresh air in the ease of using these older scopes with my newer Mil/Mil scopes (no more math). All my scopes on the same page now. Contact them, tell them want you are looking to do and he will recommend and /or tailor the application to your needs. Quality product and inexpensive.
