Rifle Scopes turret problem with Weaver Grand Slam Tactical

A week ago I received my Weaver Grand Slam Tactical and have since mounted it on a Savage MkII (22lr). After obtaining a solid zero I went to zero out the turrets. The windage zeroed with out issue but the elevation is giving me problems. The turret screw loosens about 2/3 turn and then stops. I gave it a fair amount of pressure though it will not budge and will not allow me to zero the turret.

The plan is to call Midway USA and Weaver on Monday morning but I was curious if anyone had any ideas or thoughts on the matter?

Keep us posted. I might have a problem with mine to, but need to take it back out for further testing. I do know that I lost a lot of elevation getting it zeroed. I have slightly less than 6 mils left on my ar.

Didn't call anyone yet on this but figured out the problem on my own. I pulled the windage set screw off to take a look and found a small black O-ring so I figured either the O-ring on the elevation erector was caught up in the mix or it was cross threaded. I figured the cross threading issue would be unlikely since it was tighten up all the way. So I worked the screw back and forth for a few minutes and it backed right out. Sure enough I found the O-ring all mangled. I plan on calling Weaver tomorrow and see if they will send me a new O-ring.

Any update on this? I managed to mangle one of my O-rings also, are they available anywhere else? Did Weaver send you one?
