Twist Rates on Tikka T3 Tactical .223 1:8 vs 1:12

I'm thinking about picking one up used. Current owner believes that it is 1:8 twist but according to the Tikka website, there are some of these rifles that are built with 1:12. Are there any markings or serial number designations that can be used to determine the twist rate?

They are marked on the side of the barrels.
