A bizarre incident unfolded Saturday morning in Wakefield, Massachusetts. According to local police: "during a motor vehicle stop, several heavily armed men claiming to be from a group that does not recognize our laws exited their vehicles and fled into the woodline" near Interstate Highway 95...
The lack of description of the people leads me to believe it is not “White extremism”.

I think he’s talking about Young v Hawaii which is a 9th circuit ruling saying Hawaii’s open carry ban is unconstitutional.

Last I checked MA is still part of the USA and the COTUS applies.
Travel through MA with firearms is perfectly legal.
The issue is with stopping in MA and how you transport.
If the powers that be had any brains they would say "Sir are you stopping in MA?"
If the answer is yes advise them of state laws regarding possession/transport/use in state.
Attending an event at a range in MA is a perfectly legit reason to be here assuming you get a reasonable cop asking the questions. Due diligence would suggest having some back up of that event or knowledge of the club you are shooting at to support your statement - print out a schedule or the club home page. Sucks but do your best to avoid a pissing match on the side of the road with someone that doesnt understand the BOR. Be advised fewer and fewer cops will soon understand the BOR and there are few now.
If their stay requires they can not comply lawfully offer secure storage at a local PD until their trip continues.
If they are passing through ensure they are passing through in compliance with state/fed transport laws.
Super easy to avoid giving them their moment but I think the powers that be will want to make this a moment.

They are also driving fully kitted out, I'm pretty sure OPSEC is not their fortay...

When i have been pulled over in the past, if they asked to search my car i always let them. It beats waiting for a k-9 unit to show up and have a dog scratch my paint cause he smells mickey d's or some shit. Pretty much... i remember being a kid and going to keg parties in the woods or on somebodys farm. Inevitably the cops would show up and everybody would run their ass off to get to the woods... and it rhymes so it must be true. Up to no good, head for the woods.
I really wanna see pictures of their rifles... that much gear... im gonna laugh my ass off when they show they had an AR with a scope on backwards and an m&p .22 with a drum mag and a round jammed from the get go...

I am always polite and respectful, but if they insist or threaten, my prepared response is always, "If the search was justified, you would not need my permission. I do not intend to resist, but you do not have my consent."
I cant tell you the last time my vehicle was searched... probably 20 years ago? I would laugh my ass off if i got pulled over and they wanted to search. Have at it, i drive a route for a living and throw trash in the passenger floor board and empty it every few days. I can see some poor dude unwrapping each balled up sales ticket in hopes of finding the motherload... probably would find more than a few peices of spit out gum lol.
