Two more WW II vets, that I have been proud to know and learn from, have passed this week.

PFC Marshal Mohler 80. Served in France as a mine sweeper. Little guy only 5'4" but a engineer with many patents. For you cattlemen out there, Marshal also ran the Piney Purdue farms for over 20 years and was an internationally know breeder of red poll cattle.

Major Rene' Defourneaux 88. Came to the US, from France, with his family at the age of 10. To this day never really mastered English During the war, Rene's was dropped into France to work with the French Underground. When France was liberated, Rene' was asked to join OSS. His OSS group was deployed to Indochina. One assignment they had was to recruit HoChiMin for the Allies. They were successful. After the War, Rene' worked in occupied Japan. His OSS role changed into CIA, where he continued his military career and CIA career. The Old Spook was quite a character. He has written several books, on that you may enjoy is the Winking Fox.

Proud have know these men. They will be missed, but they live on in the memories of so many.

May they enjoy the peace they have earned. Amen.

Thanks Switch for posting the pictures.
