This 22 was passed down to me from my grand father. I fixed it up but it is a single shot. I found a site for replacement parts but is there anything aftermarket? Anyone have experience with these older 22's? I think he would be really happy to see me using it as my trainer rifle. He saw it as his main squirrel killer as a kid.

My older .22 is a Winchester 67 passed from Grand Dad Horton to me. I had it re-blued, re-finished the stock and it now occupies a special place in the safe and my memory. First shot, first gopher was with that 67.

Buy/build something for a trainer, leave you Grand Dad's 2200 alone. It's a proven squirrel slayer, leave it as such. Someday you may want to pass it down to a grandson.
