Re: ultra light arms

Cadillac,
You will have more luck nosing around some of the hunting sights but here is some info. Mel Forbes was not satisfied with other attempts to build light rifles so he built his own from scratch. All of his actions are the minimum size and weight for the job at hand. He also designed and spec'd out his own stock. I dont recall who he is currently using for barrels but at one time it was Douglas in a custom contour. All of his barrels are bedded the entire length of the forend. I have seen two in person and both did about 1moa but I dont recall exact results. If you looking for a fly weight rifle they are beautiful, nothing hacked down or ground off, just designed from day one to be the lightest hunting rifle available. Anything uner $1500 is a good deal regardless of the caliber.

One word of warning though, they take a bit of getting used too. For me they were to much of a good thing and I found them kind of hard to hit with. Adding an extra pound or two seems to steady things up for me without seriously compromising utility. Im using a box stock Tikka T3 lite now and I hit better from field positions more consistently than I did with the NULA or a Kimber Montana.
