This is what happens when teachers give passing grades to a lot of students out of pity and let them advance grades when it is clear as day that they cannot grasp anything in the affected subjects. But they pass anyway. Been going on long before the woke shit has started entering the schools or even going mainstream for that matter.
Didn't I read somewhere that the Afghans or somebody legitimately think that by mashing the forward assist, an M4A1 will somehow go into "sniper mode" and make the bullet go farther and faster with perfect accuracy? While being completely oblivious to the actual function.
It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong when you control the message. The reality is, the overwhelming majority of Americans believe this. That's how they win.
All of the rifles we left to the Taliban should have at least had the fire selectors relabeled. Semi as STUN and 3rd burst as KILL... Then watch hilarity ensue.

M16s in Vietnam were 5.56 NATO and nothing but. Nowadays one can have an AR-15 in a more powerful cartridge. .450 Bushmaster, .458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf.
It was probably unintentional, though. You know HE didn't know that. You could tell him that a Brown Bess is more dangerous than a Barret because it fires a .75-calibre projectile and he wouldn't know why a .75-cal ball of lead with a black powder charge is not comparable to a .50 BMG.

My wife and I are really good friends with a couple that not only handwrite letters still, but also use a quill pen that's technically a fountain pen and they also seal the envelope with a wax stamp. I love old school things, but I think I draw the line there.
