Rifle Scopes Unertl BV 20x surgery

Have this posted under vintage rifles , but thought I'd share here too? These things are getting rare? As far as I can tell 3 people in the country work on them.. And all 3 are are to get ahold of.. Plus iim told the wait for work done is long.. So i took the gable a slowly took her apart pice, by piece. The wire and dot cross hair are in good shape, so looks like total cleaning , re grease then what to do with the finish? The bluing is faded pretty bad so, I could have the parts reblued or creokoted?. I bet this would be the first Unertl EVER creokoted on the planet?,.,., but if any one is interested in seeing one apart and could lend a hand posting pics for everyone.... Seems that repairs on them is a dying art. My father has a few models and wanted to change the power around. I was hoping a few years back they would start up again but the company went nowhere. I never liked them on my smallbore rifle. Too much weight up front and they aren't even in the same ballpark as my Leupold. At the same time if you want that vintage look its the way to go. Mitchell was another scope company that folded as well. Same type as Unertl.

They are old and not on par with today's stuff.
Most need fixing of some type and parts are
Hard to come by.. Does your dad still have
The ones that need fixed??

Very nice set up you have there. I tried to get into that group but get some cruise line ad?? I like these scopes and am having some tooling made to work on them. I'm looking for a broke one to fix. I'm working on wire.... .030 is small stuff! But I'm going threw with it! Plus looking into bluing as most need reblued! One step at a time. Got to get this toolin made then find a broke cheap doaner to see if I can fix it? I'll keep ya posted

How much would a Unertl BV-20 scope be priced at our days? I have one with the rings but I couldn't find any recent info about its pricing.
