First off, i'm new to the site, so please excuse if i'm not in the correct section. I've been viewing the site for quite sometime, as a by-stander, and respect the info/knowledge this site holds. Well I've finally ran into a situation were i need some help. I have a Vulcan 44 Cal. Pump carbine rifle. The rifle is stamped Vulcan 44 Cal. Universal Arms. Overall the gun is in great shape, but needs a complete cleaning. My question is, how do I take it apart? Like, how does the pump action come off? Or how does the bolt come out, and apart. I've made it as far as removing the but stock, and see a few ways for the others to come apart. My fear is i'll remove it in the wrong order or all together the wrong way. Any info will help. Thanks

Re: Universal Arms Vulcan 44 Cal.

I can't find anything much about that rifle. Modified M1 Carbine to a pump action 44 mag..... Neat!

If you do take it down yourself, take pictures of the process to reference back to later. Take notes, separate and label the parts, etc. Remember, rule number one of taking it apart is if it doesn't WANT to come out, don't force it out. The "get a bigger hammer" rule definitely doesn't apply here, especially since getting replacement parts for it will be difficult to say the least.

Thanks Redmanss. As soon as get some pictures I'll post a few for all to view. I'm going to give it a few days before tear down just in case someone knows the rifle.

I know this is a few months old, but, in case you got side-tracked like I often do, and since no one else left a link, here's one to an interesting site:
Vulcan .44

One of the first things you'll see when you scroll down is a Red-n-White Users manual in PDF.

I have one of these awesome little carbines, too. And I'm thinking about getting some new stocks here:

to adjust the length of pull, grip area, and forend.

Good luck!
