Unthreaded/Blank Thread Protector

Does anyone make a blank or unthreaded thread protector? I'm going to have a sporter contour (#3) barrel threaded for a brake and don't know what thread size will be used.

Don't just take my word for it but the standard thread would be 5/8x24

I am going to add a muzzle brake to it, a badger thruster. The thruster can be turned down to any diameter as long as it's .100 larger than the thread size. I would like to contour the thruster very close to the dia of my barrel. If I do this then a 5/8 would be 0.025 too big...maybe not enough to go to the trouble of going to a 9/16 thread, but I would really like it to be a smooth/non bulge transition from barrel to brake.

That is my whole reason for this.
