Upper build questions?

I am building a new upper with a Craddock .223 18" rifle length gas. And a KAC URX
Is JP a good receiver to use?
I am shooting suppressed. Should I get an adjustable gas block? Which one?

I am also putting a new Craddock 300AAC barrel in a 9" AAC upper receiver. It has a URX. I have heard it is difficult or remove the URX barrel nut without damaging it. Is this true? This will also be shot suppressed. What gas block would you recommend?
