New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I am putting together an AR15 using a Seekins Precision upper and lower. The rear take-down pin is really hard to push in and out. I have to tap it out with a pistol bore brush. Is there a way to smooth that out?
if it wasn't tight it wouldn't be "precision," would it?
most people try to make their sniper rifles tighter, not looser. but if you think that is going to help then by all means give a go and see what happens.
Did you put a little oil or lube on the pin? Do you squeeze the upper and lower together to take some pressure off the pin when you attempt to remove it (note remove rear pin first)? Can you get another take down pin ti try?

Mine's no Seekins but it was very tight, like put against something and use the leverage of the forearm to get the rear pin in and tap with a punch and hammer for removal. Shoot the shit out of it and open and close it a few times and it will fit perfect. I think mine had loosened significantly by 1000rnds.
